I like my brows to be 3 things: 1. natural-looking, 2. a bit wildered and above all 3. obedient. Although I’ve tried a few other brands, lately I’ve been very loyal to these products. They have proven to be true survivors in the quest for the perfect frames for my face.
Since a few years now I started paying attention to my brows. Before then, they were just there. Being there shy selves. As said, brows are the frames of your face. So I imagined that they could use a little help.
Instead of twins, I like to see my brows as sisters. They both have their quirks. As symmetry is known for its influence on the perception of beauty, I get along and try to get them as even as possible. This involves a few spots that have to be filled in and a little adjustment of the arch. Most tricky part is to find the right color. Rule of thumb is: dark haired people should go one or two shades lighter than their (head)hair color. Light haired people to go two shades darker.Build op slowly and keep your reflection in the eye until you’re satisfied with the result.
2. A bit wildered
My crush for Cara is pretty much (if not only ) caused by her gorgeous eyebrows. Damn, how perfect can a few hairs be? The thing I love most about them is that they’re naturally looking wildered. Ok, that might sound strange but beauty to me is all about being natural with a twist, and emphasizing the characteristics of the things you like. The spooley at the back of this brow pencil from Catrice, is the right equipment to brush the brows in the right direction.
To get them in the right position is a first, to maintain them in the right position is a whole different story. My discovery of the century is browgel. Where I used to spray hairspray on a spooley and then hit road, I now use this browgel from Dutch drugstore HEMA. Since its colored you can also use it to fill in the spots here and there. Killing two birds with one stone, who can say no to that?!
Do you pay any attention to your brows? And if so, is it just a bit of plucking here and there or do they get more attention?
