Philosophy micro delivery peel

No need for glasses, you don’t see double. Buying things in duplicates says enough when it comes to holy grailness. Time to introduce you to my ultimate holy grail: the Philosophy Microdelivery peel.

The Microdelivery peel is a two-step, at-home peeling that claims to resurface my skin and leave it utterly soft and rejuvenated. It consists of two products: a jar of vitamin c / peptide crystals and a bottle of acid activating gel. After massaging a tablespoon amount of the crystals all over your face, add the activating gel. It warms on your skin and gets foamy when you first put it on (it sounds scarier than it feels, believe me). After working on the gel it just feels like you are getting all the icky dead skin cells and accumulated grime off your face.

The result? An extremely baby soft and radiant skin, without any redness. My skin feels super smooth and makeup looks better than ever and seems to last longer. For a year now I’ve been using this peel once a week, and my skin is smoother, less sensitive to pimples and spots and small wounds heal faster. It’s radiant and just looks way healthier.

Generally I have no trouble (at all!) spending money on not-so-basic-needs. But 70 for barely 150 grams of product is quite an arm and a leg. Let’s say my curiosity overruled the ratio, and I haven’t regretted it for a minute. It’s a godsend being able to do peelings at home. Imagine no longer having to hide your tomato red face in a huge scarf after biking home from the beauty salon. And next to that: considering the fact that you can use one set for about 50 times, the costs per use are a great deal.

Besides all the good things it does for your skin it’s just a fun product to use. I feel like a true beautician working this product. And did I mention that the vitamin c crystals smell like a citrus cheesecake? Hea-ven-ly. But could we expect less from a genuine holy grail?

& ANOTHER

Not willing to spend this amount of money on a semi-professional peeling? Try a DIY aspirin mask for almost similar results. Mix the aspirin with just enough water to make a paste. Add a spoon of honey and apply the mask in a thin layer on your face. Allow it to dry for 15 minutes and remove it by rubbing in gentle circular motions. The main ingredient of aspirin (salicylic acid) helps exfoliate the skin and in combination with the honey it works miracles!
