Stumbling out of bed, doing the best in my power to avoid the very first mirror. It takes a shower to make me look the least decent before I dare to seek confrontation with my reflection. Ahum. Lets state it’s a true shame we can’t buy sleep. Luckily we can buy great friends to achieve the great cover up. My all time favorites to cover up lack of sleep.
Under eye bags or dark circles are a real pain in the ass. Most of the time a lack of sleep is the cause, but the unfortunate under us have inherited them from their parents (gotta love genetics!). Unfortunately sooner or later we all have to deal with them, because as we age the under eye skin gets thinner so chances increase.
Anyhow: we want to get rid of them because the least they are are flattering. Here’s how to:
Ok I‘m a sucker for marketing, but how could I not be seduced by a product called ‘secret de maquilleurs’. If this product is a make-up artists secret, then I definitely need this! For the convenient of use, this stick (!) composed of aloe vera, glycerine and yeast extracts has a cooling and hydrating effect to fight the under eye thickness. Desirable side effect: it lightly soothes the first crow’s feet. Works like a charm!
One of the products that you hear and read about all the time, but never bought yourself. Until last skiing trip, during a lunch break in a small Swiss village, I called myself to order and finally threw this classic in my basket. Best decision ever! Now I totally get the hype. It truly is the best cover up for under eye madness. Best tip: buy two shades lighter than your real skin tone to achieve the awakest result. Oh and don’t forget to blend it out properly to your cheeks to prevent looking like a reverse panda.
& ANOTHER – The good old frozen spoon
If you can’t justify spending over $40 on your make-up, try the good old frozen spoons. Place two spoons in the fridge for a few minutes while brushing your teeth, get them out when they’re not steaming cold and softly place them over your eyes. Leave them for a few minutes and you look way more fresh again!
